from the balcony I have a clear view of
 the fenced and gated tennis court and park across the road

is a building which could have been the caretakers cottage
at same time in it's history

currently it seems to serve two purposes

1  is to provide garden gear storage for the visiting garden staff

2  a  wall- , there are four walls and a door,  and blocked over windows
     why mention a wall, it is the concentration point for blokes looking
       to obscure themselves from the main street
        and urinate

imagine lights and music half way through

REFRESHED

after a break, return refreshed, fed on lean food and great desserts
including
would you believe

strawberry and cream pavlova, and not a tennis
player in sight
no pics of the pavlova-
disappeared in a trice consumed by an appreciative dinner group

advantage of paying for first class train fare on that service
whose name starts with a V,  room, space, trolley service, coffee served in a china cup,
pleasant people on the service trolley

and when you completely misunderstand the instructions for changing train platforms
a lounge into which you can do exactly that, until a substitute service comes up

now, having said that
have you ever travelled via Birmingham new street train interchange
truly a surreal adventure

yes, I had pressed the button
turn around and eye off the stairs... oh dear...
with that contemplation
catch sight of ashen faced people emerging from THE LIFT
ok
the stairs it is
about to negotiate the top step
and a very pleasant, well of course he has to be, young man offers to carry the
heavy suitcase down the stairs, and to the carriage
... love him, his parents can be proud of him
and he then tails off to the economy section

and getting off the train at Euston
another gentleman handles the case off the train

another bright sunny day of travel
and on that note
signing off

WIMBLEDON

is becoming a bit like all change at the next station

mind still great afternoon viewing
in between cover changes on the courts

strawberry desserts take on a new vision
add crumbled meringue
to strawberries
and cream
light sugar dusting and mint leaf in the mint julip drink
